An incredible gift for your Wilson NC Tea Party . . .

Anna Beavon Gravely, with Americans for Prosperity (AFP), wants to award OUR Wilson NC Tea Party with an incredible gift: a high-quality projector and overhead screen (like the ones on the right) that we can use to take our educational work for liberty to another level.

But this award requires that we log 100 hrs by mid-September on AFP’s Freedom Phone system (This is the very same phone system AFP used to help Gov. Scott Walker win the recall election in Wisconsin in June – here’s a short YouTube video that shows the Freedom Phone system in action in Wisconsin: www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7ienIBVbMM. I don’t know about you but we need to see a Wisconsin type of win here in NC on a larger scale and the Freedom Phone system is a MAJOR tool we can use to see that victory become a reality in our state.).

As it stands, a few of our members have collectively logged 28.6 hours. We have 6 more weeks, and in order to reach the goal, 12 hours need to be logged on the system each week. That is either one 2-hour phone bank with 6 people (the best option because the system is faster) or 2 phone banks with 3 people at each 2-hour phone bank. Up to this point, Anna says we have averaged about 2 people each time she has organized one of these sessions for us and we meet every Saturday from 10a-12p at Sweet Maria’s Restaurant, unless otherwise noted (Of course, we are NOT meeting THIS Saturday (Aug 11) because we are having our Yard Sale fundraiser for the Tea Party from 6a to 12p @ the old car lot across from the fire station @ the intersection of Forest Hills Rd and Ward Blvd in Wilson). Simply said, we need A LOT more help!!!

Save America from the comfort of your own home ! ! !

Want to help protect freedom but prefer to do so from your home? Want to help the Wilson NC Tea Party from the comfort of your own recliner or couch? Well, Anna Beavon Gravely, with Americans for Prosperity (AFP), and YOUR Wilson NC Tea Party have a solution: Help us log 100 hrs by the end of July on AFP’s Freedom Phone system. And here’s the perk!!! If we meet this goal, AFP will give us a high-quality projector and overhead screen that we can use to take our work for liberty and education to another level. The individuals that have been trained on the phone system can phone from home on Saturday, July 7th, from 10-12pm. The individuals that have not been trained on the system can meet with Anna at Sweet Maria’s on July 14th from 10-12pm so that they can have the opportunity to get trained and log some time to help us achieve our goal. As it stands, we have collectively logged 15.6 hours. If you have any questions or simply want to help, call Anna at 919-302-3614.

Freedom Phones Campaign w/ Americans for Prosperity

Anna Beavon Gravely, who is a local field coordinator with Americans for Prosperity, sent me the following email. This is an excellent opportunity for everyone to get involved. Once you are trained by Anna, you will be able to do this from the comfort of your own home and everything you do will bring major incentives to your Wilson NC Tea Party:

Hi Joel,

I have reserved the big room at Sweet Maria’s for June 16th, 23rd, 30th, July 14th, and 28th from 10am to 12pm for phone banking.

June 16th from 10am to 12pm will be a time for me to explain the incentive to everyone in attendance and to explain how the phone system works.  It will also allow the TEA Party the opportunity to log some hours on the system.

The Wilson NC Tea Party (WNCTP) does not endorse candidates on the federal, state, or local levels. We are simply pointing our fellow citizens to the principles and values of our founding so that they will be able to vote, in the primary and general elections, for those candidates who are most aligned with those principles and values. With that said all candidate-related posts are for education purposes only.

Also, the views and opinions shared as comments on the WNCTP Blog, by its various members, do not necessarily represent the views and opinions of the WNCTP leadership and volunteer base. Since the WNCTP is "Of The People, For The People, By The People" and believes in the First Amendment, we cannot and will not deny any member their right to "free speech" regarding their political and/or policy positions, but our tolerance of their views does not necessarily reflect consent.
